Jan Levine: Game 28: NYR 2 WPG 1, Hayes with GWG, Special Teams Huge, @Chi tonight
Deleted team ekes out win - airjan23
Big win. That was a cool stat you mentioned tht MSG brought up about being the first time since 1987 they had all forwards under 30 playing. Offaa.
I said this at the tail end of the last thread about the goaltending situation.
Everyone's saying that (starting Raanta tonight) but I think it's a bad sign to your number 1 to sit him 2 in a row. How bout a good but awkward problem to have, Raanta starts, wins again & Hank all of a sudden feels even more pressure to be perfect Sunday against New Jersey at home. I would start Hank tonight. |

So, now all you need are young players & the window stays open???
Stop fighting it, you may as well board it up now.........
Edit: Doesn't Lundqvist usually play well against the Hawks? |

Hank should sit and feel the pressure. He hasn't earned the starts lately and Raanta has played well. |

It was said tongue in cheek and sarcastic given all the comments about window closing. I am sure you were extremely confident in your team after they blew a 3-1 series lead to the Rangers. Similar the first half of last season. |

Never thought our window was even dropped an (better be careful here with metric & imperial), inch to be honest. Last season woes were a shock though. You guys are in a completely different situation, & this new confidence due to the 'youth' movement seems a little naive - so they're young but can they 1. Play all season then lift & 2. Even play at an elite level? Young is good, young & talented better.
We are asking the same about our young guys even though a few had success last season - was that a fluke or are they the real deal? |

So its naive that Rangers fans are excited about some of their young talent? |

Real character win last night, with that lineup.
Jan, just one minor point of contention. The Rangers are not going to sit Girardi unless he is hurt or totally shot. He played 20 + minutes last night, second only to McDonagh. He isn't coming out if he is healthy. |

I haven't had one issue with Girardi all season. He is the least of the Rangers worries this year |
